Liz Whiteside was born in 1971 in East Yorkshire. After spending 15 years in London and 2 years in Aberdeen, she has recently settled in Newcastle upon Tyne with her husband, two children, two cats and two dogs!

Liz achieved 'A' grade at Art O'level aged 16 and only dabbled with drawing over the years until a friend put a paintbrush in her hands back in November 2008.  When she started her real passion was to paint buildings, people and 'Highland Coos' using acrylic paints in vivid colours.   Liz has recently found herself being drawn towards using charcoal and pastels, drawing a variety of animals for her first successful exhibition.   Liz has sold several of her paintings and drawings, quite of few of them being commission pieces.

Liz's work is in chronological order (starting with newest first) so you can see how her work has progressed.

Liz was featured in The Telegraph on Saturday 19th March 2011 in the money section.
